Ugh.... Every time I read non-Trump voters talk about this point it infuriates me at the obvious misunderstanding: "More than half of Republican voters (51%) say things in America are going somewhat or very badly, and 31% of those who intend to vote for Trump in 2020 believe that the country is “off on the wrong track.”

You're completely missing the point of what each side of this question is saying. When Republicans respond to this question they're saying the country is off the rails because [insert all the Fox News fueled issues Trump is RUNNING ON] and that are causing them to be EXCITED about voting for Trump. They aren't saying the country is off the rails for the same reasons that Democrats are saying and this question isn't showing the same outcome that Democrats are showing... Democrats are saying the country is off the rails BECAUSE of Trump's policies and those Trump policies need to stop. Republicans are saying the country is off the rails and we need MORE of Trump's policies to get the country back on the rails and ONLY Trump's policies can do that.

Great article overall, and I thought the same thing when Trump voters claim the country in "on the wrong track". They are saying we need more Trumpism!
