First of all, how about ya back off on the language a bit. “Try to get a straight”, “only the brainwashed”…. these kinds of approaches get us nowhere. And for my part, I’ll try to do the same. I’m a real person, not some “liberal” caricature dreamed up by Tucker Carlson.
Second, I never said Antifa doesn’t exist. It does. What I was trying to say (more clearly that I believe you’re giving me credit for) is that it’s not a boogeyman that Fox and Breitbart and Trump…and you have turned it into. I’ve grown exhausted by this nonsense that the Deep State, Antifa, the Radical Leftist, who-the-hell-ever is out to get you. No, Hillary Clinton wasn’t running a sex trafficking ring from a pizza parlor in DC, no matter what conspiracy theory Qanon bullshit newsgroup was saying. No, Sean Hannity and Laura Ingraham are wrong when they talk about American cities burning to the ground. And no, Trump is wrong when he talks about American Carnage and showing pictures of HIS America and claiming that under Biden that’s what America will look like. It’s propaganda, and you talking about the evilllllllll scarrrrryyyyyyyy BLM leaders being marxist radicals rioters instigating devastation that’s coming to get good law abiding white folks like you is just race baiting nonsense.
You know some of the most destructive riots in America? After sporting events. I remember when my tiny college town won a Final Four basketball tourney. There was significant property destruction. It was a very white, very non-marxist event. Over basketball.
Before BLM was a thing, we had riots when cops shot unarmed black men. It’s just that things are changing so that YOU can see it and YOU are more impacted by it personally now. YOU. Sorry. It’s scary when things impact YOU personally, isn’t it?
Last point… context matters. You can clip and remove context from all kinds of people saying all kinds of things. I’m not sure what BLM leaders video you’re talking about, but my first question is “what’s the full clip and what’s the context?” And even if the leaders are saying a thing, BLM, like Antifa, isn’t some highly organized, singular functioning movement like the Catholic church or whatever. The people marching in the streets are almost entirely there because of their own desire to rise up and speak out. No Soros plants, no paid actors, no [insert whatever Fox News is telling you they are there to do]. They are there because they are real people, like me, who are concerned with the state of things.
As I said in my previous message, if you want to know what black people are feeling, listen. Stop acting so goddamn high and mighty. Stop listening to white people on Fox and Breitbart being paid to divide us because that’s their job. Listen to black and voices of color. I challenge you to watch this video, sit on your thoughts for at least 24 hours and THEN respond to me with how much of a clueless idiot I am.
